Macromedia Suite MX 2004

Hi all, has anyone managed to script the Macromedia MX 2004 suite (sorry I know its really old but our staff still require it!), I am trying to push it out silently (through MDT)

 

I have managed to get over 124 applications successully scripted but struggling with this one (I need to push out the entire suite - Dreamweaver / Flash / Freehand / Fireworks / ColdFusion)

We never did get this to work properly on our Windows 7 network. I was able to persuade senior staff to allow the purchase of CS5. We are now on CS6.

10 year old software. Hmm think your gonna need to upgrade. Out of curiosity whats the command line?

We have it packaged up as an MSI though Wise, so we can deploy it via WPKG (and previously via RM AppAgent when we still had CC3)

 

We have Dreamweaver working reasonably well with Windows 7, but it did need to be set to XP compatibility mode. I'd love to get them to stop using it since it's so old, but they won't use Notepad... something about wanting a WYSIWYG interface.

I've heard good things about Serif WebPlus X7. What about using that as an alternative?

Yeah the head of IT has given me the full Serif suite to install, successfully scripted and rolled out silently, but he has said that he stills requires the Macromedia studio too - not sure why??, trying to run 10-15 year old applications is such a problem.

Look like you need to record the install by using setup.exe -r This dumps a iss file into c:\windows (yes,really). You can then run

setup.exe /s /sms /f1"
