Tsonga Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Hi all, more of an enquiry rather than a mission critical problem. If i have an XP machine with 3 accounts, each with its own password, and I migrate this to a Windows 7 machine (Side-by-side) when I fire up the Win 7 machine after migration each accounts password has been blanked. It just says that "User must change there password before first login" or what have you. Is this normal? Not overly a security risk as you need to be an Admin to run the tool in the first place, although if the Admin forgets to set the users passwords any user could then login!
MordyT Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Most of us here use a domain and won't be affected by this..m
Jawloms Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 If it's only three accounts I'd log in to each one and set a password for them, but yes i can see it as a potential security issue in some exceptional circumstances.
Tsonga Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 To be honest I was just exploring the tool rather than having any need for it. I actually found out some cool stuff by looking into the advanced settings in the end.
