cooper549 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Hi We've just deployed System centre 2012 R2 deployed into our network and its been brill so far but there's just a little thing in the back of mind i'm wondering if anyone can answer for me as I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. (my Google-ninja skills have failed me) Does anyone know if after an application has been deployed to a device collection, whether or not a user needs to be logged in for the software to install, or will it install without any interaction from a user/admin? Thanks in advanced Adam
free780 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 As long as you have the correct options under the user experience tab for a deployment type. Some applications make sense to be deployed when the use is logged off e.g Java. 1
Arthur Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) Does anyone know if after an application has been deployed to a device collection, whether or not a user needs to be logged in for the software to install, or will it install without any interaction from a user/admin? The logon requirement (pictured below) will determine whether the app will install when a user is logged on or not (should be set before you deploy the application to a collection). cooper549 Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Ahhh i see it now, I've just had a quick look back through the software and most it already has this option set. it's a good thing this is in early days for us. It would've seemed a massive downer if this is wasn't possible. Thanks for you help!
