Sophos clients not connecting to console

Hi,

 

Just installed Sophos Console.

 

Ran this script on the workstations (Have hidden server and user names)

 

\\***\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S000\SAVSCFXP\Setup.exe -updp "\\***\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S000\SAVSCFXP" -user *** -pwd 

*** -mng yes -G "\***\***"  -s -ni

 

Clients install the remote management on update but they never show up on the server.

 

Any ideas?

Can you check the event viewer on a client. Does the sophos agent service start?

The event logger shows:

Problem description :

Sophos Anti-Virus cannot report to the Sophos management console or receive new security policies.

 

Overview :

This is because it is using an SSL certificate that is incompatible with the Sophos management console.

 

Possible cause :

This may be caused by the server having been reinstalled.

 

Action to repair :

Sophos Anti-Virus should be reinstalled by the system administrator.

The server has been reinstalled on the same IP address. The workstation is a fresh install however so don't know where its getting the wrong certificate.

I had loads of problems with the windows firewall blocking the console from updating the pc's. It could just be an access problem.
