The HTGmanager project is the most exciting contribution for a generation to the improvement of schools and the attainment of learners and we’re looking for a talented Web-Developer that can join our team and commit to this exciting, ambitious and revolutionary project.

Hi Tech Group Ltd (HTG) is experiencing a significant expansion due to recently securing a number of high-value, long-term projects; we are completely revamping and extending our HTGmanager software and extending our Market Place.

HTG is based in Leeds with easy access to all road, rail and air communications and close to a wide range of local amenities.

HTG have more than 25 years’ experience in IT solutions and service and continue to be driven towards achieving exciting objectives; at the same time we maintain a relaxed environment that provides substantial individual freedom and working styles as long as targets are being achieved.

Although our offices are based in Leeds we have clients all over the country from the South Coast to the Northumbrian Border and from Hull to Liverpool; we are also negotiating with clients based abroad.

JOB DETAILS

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious candidate who will become an essential member of the development team bringing new software tools and applications to our existing extensive ever growing client base; this is a hugely exciting and rewarding opportunity to work right on the “leading edge”.

You will be reporting to our Director of Software who will mentor your continuing development; training will be provided where necessary to enable you to acquire new skills in the emerging technologies and close support will be available to you at all times .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be reporting to our Director of Software and provide support to a wide range of our existing software tools. You will also be involved in developing new features as the products continue to expand in response to an ever-evolving market place.

This is a new and permanent post in a department that will grow and enable the successful candidate to develop as the department expands

REQUIREMENTS

You will be an enthusiastic individual with imagination, energy and ambition; able to work on your own to achieve personal targets you can also be a “team worker” working together to achieve shared goals.

• Classic ASP (VB)

• JavaScript
  
• HTML
  
• CSS
  
• ASP.NET (C#)
  
• Good verbal and written communication
  
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own time and work objectives
  
• Committed to coding standards and producing quality software
  

DESIRABLE

In addition to the above essential attributes the following would be considered an advantage:

 

• MS-SQL
  
• JQuery
  
• PHP
  
• Experience of and interest in web design and web-portal
  
• An interest in and engagement with “Education” and the learning process
  

SALARY AND EXPECTATIONS

An attractive, competitive package will be offered to the right individual based on evidence of the skill set and experience.

Salary: £17,000-£24,000

The starting salary will be negotiated and agreed with the successful applicant.
