yhttech Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I want to let searches when typed into the address bar default to going through Google instead of Bing. Can anyone share a working, easy to edit to work with my domain ADMX template to add to my GPOs to make this change?
themightymrp Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Check out this page: Blog of an IT Admin.: Group Policy - Changing Default Search Provider in IE 7, 8 and 9 It requires making your own ADM file and importing it to the GPO but it seems to work EDIT: further down in the comments there are some tweaks to make it work with newer browsers 1

themightymrp Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 You could do it via Group Policy Preferences and registry keys like on this site: Changing default search provider in Internet Explorer 11 using Group Policies | I just do IT.eu 1
Davit2005 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Got around this by just disabling search from the address bar :-) . I will be checking the links provided in this post though as might be better options.
