Anyone play Dark Souls?

Soo, reading a guide about the gargoyles...

 

Just when it seems like you're going to cruise to an easy victory, a second Gargoyle appears from the other side of the roof. Although the odds are now stacked against you, both creatures should be at under 50% health. Concentrate your attack on one of them instead of chipping away at both. They are particularly weak against magic attacks, so Soul Arrows and Pyromancy are your best friends in this battle.

 

I have neither of those things, should be fun!

Tried the NVidia Shield Tab controller and a DS4, both XInput, which the intertubes claims DS supports, yet I'm getting nothing.

 

Anything special (except digging out a wired 360 pad) I need to do?

TBH, i don't know.

 

Apparently there's issues using 3rd party/non-xbox controllers with DS1.

 

But i just use a 360 controller, so i haven't seen it.

I just beat Taurus.

 

Then lost all the souls because I attepted to get to the bonfire behind the dragon.

 

So I'm grinding out 6k souls.

Got it working with my Shield controller.

 

Had a sneaky feeling it was trying to use the Flight Stick, unplugged it, plugged in the controller and away we go.
