Yeah, that's a higher level area. Once you kill that guy, he doesn't come back though.

 

And the gate is Sen's Fortress. [Look back in the thread, there's a screenshot of me there.]

 

Sen's is a massive difficulty spike.

 

So... git gud.

i didn't get much further. defeated a big knight after about 30 goes. ended up ge5ting rid of armour so i could roll quicker . then there was another big knight on top of a balxony but he summoned loads of zombies..

 

PS. I'm glad you mentioned us, i might not of seen that comment what with all the other people that are active on this thread.

Oh, no. The zombies are ALWAYS there.

 

There's a guy there that buffs them though. But he doesn't respawn.

lol, a migraine yesterday stopped me playing it.

 

I still have no long range weapons though...apart from a crossbow with 12(?) bows.

Eh, range is handy for drawing aggro but not really necessary.

 

There's a place you can buy a cheap bow and arrows [and the guy gives you a decent dex sword if you kill him], but you can do it without. IIRC, it's 1000 for the bow and 3 per arrow.

The other big knight in that area was a royal PITA,i lost count how many times i tried to beat him, at least he doesn't respawn.

 

I don't know how i survived on the go i beat him, i saw him going for his final swing, knew i was doomed ( i was pinned against a wall), even had looked away, but somehow he didn't hit me, i then got about 4 straight swings on him as he was low on health too, and won it. xD

Only got home yesterday so I haven't had chance to play, wasn't starting without a controller, I launched the options screen, saw the keybinds and noped my way out of there.

Yeah, DS1 is a bad port.

Go to the doorway where they swarm to.

Target one.

Back off into the corridor.

VICTORY!

 

 

Then kill the channeller. He's strong, but easily killable. [Feel free to laugh at his dance.]

 

Also, find Lautrec. He's in a cell, down the path on the left from where you entered. [Left when you're coming in.]

That's probably because the super hilarious dance... BUFFS ALL ENEMIES!

That's why you lure them down the corridor. IIRC, it's out of range of the buff.

 

You can kill him from below with a bow, but it's annoying.

I did try that, i tried to lure them outside, with the same result. I only gave it a couple of goes though...
