I sowi:o

tbf i still had to do three climbs up the ladder and attack it's head, got fubared by the dragon on teh bridge though after

If you're a DEX build, or have a load of arrows + patience, you can get an OP sword there.

Your next challenge. Do the next boss solo. [The Belfry Gargoyles... yes. Gargoyles, plural.]

Also, when you summon help, you do half damage. [Or the boss health doubles per summon]

Also, also, When you get to the sewer area, do that boss solo as well. [The Gaping Dragon.] It's a million billion times easier solo.

And if it has a tail, try to cut it off. You get a cool weapon if you do.

Update: Played on, killed some big warthog by diving into fire, it suitably charging me and burning itself to death, cleared up enemies, got 8000 xp, went up some stairs, and got wrecked by an enemy in a narrow corridor, (kinda like the black knight but not as big), got annoyed, switched it off. :D

I'm adamant the warthog kill was a fluke, and now pretty sure he'll kill me next time and now i'll lose the 8000 xp *Weep*

also, i have only just seen your post now, it never seemed to appear on my feed or on my phone..

The Iron Boars are cool. The fire method is the most fun way of killing it. But I usually do a drop attack from the bridge above it then poke it in the butt.

If you have courage: go up the stairs, go through the cathedral, chuck a right at the end and go down the path.

"amazing chest ahead", indeed.

The narrow corridor to the left of the cathedral loops to there anyway, so you can go backwards and see that's coming.

Also, on the left in the cathedral [below the stairs at the back] is a shortcut elevator that takes you back to Firelink.

Once you see the "amazing chest ahead", go unlock that. Firelink is kindled once by default. 10 estus > 5 estus.

:p

It's a good game. Super hard, but not "this isn't fair" hard.

err...i beg to differ

[bringing this here.]

By "it's not fair" I mean things like broken unavoidable attacks and janky hitboxes.

Fair enough. I'm sure i'll be back on it tonight. fingers crossed I can get my 8000 XP back, but i doubt it.

Speaking of chasing down your xp, I also had much fun trying to regain my 4000 XP last night that i lost after finding the black knight at the top of the tower, i then on my next go got poisoned by the rats, managed to run up the spiral staircase, grab the xp, run back down stairs, and ran to a place where i could die and easily pick it up. That in itself was fun, surprisingly. Also been using the dragon to repeatedly gain 555 XP, as it wipes out all the enemies on the bridge xD

Now you're learning. :p

also just learnt the art of locking on to an enemy, which surprisingly took me a while to get used to getting in the habit of... go me, I AM INVINCIBLE.*

*not invincible, at all.

Soon, you will learn the art of fastroll.

And then, you will pass through attacks like smoke.

...whassat?

Ohohohoho.

Basically there are 3 different rolls.

Fast, mid and fat.

It's all down to your weight percent. If you're under 25% weight, you fast roll. 25-50% is mid, 50%+ is fat. [>100% you can't roll]

Fast roll has no end lag [literally roll -> move] and the most i-frames. I played for a while with what was effectively a shirt and jeans, and abused invincibility frames to avoid everything. :p

I'm pretty sure i do a fat roll, it's very slow, and i'm a knight with armour, shields and swords... eep.

Ewww. Fatroll. :p

You'd know a fatroll if you saw it. You flop onto the ground and stuggle to get back up.

I'll give it a whirl tonight no doubt.

I find i can't play the game for more than an hour or so a day, i tend to get fed up of dying and repeating the same stuff, but by the time i'm in work, all i wanna do is go try it again xD it's absorbing me in D:

I haven't played in ages, but I want to now...

I just can't decide on which of the 3 bosses I have that I want to do first.

Not that it's because i want you to remember the stuff from the start more....not in the slightest..:biggrin1:

I've done the beginning part about 20 times... The end? 0.
