Hi

Wonder if anyone can help, our primary domain controller's C Drive is getting low,

I have had a look around the Drive and the C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles Directory is 25GB in Size, there are loads of IN1203 and various different value .log files and some are over 1GB each

what would be causing these? and also are they safe to delete?

Thanks

Dan

Thanks

oddly these seem to point to the MSFTPSVC1 and W3SVC folders within the log files folder

these files are in the root of the LogFiles folder, I have tried to good the IN****.log filenames with no outcome

Not seen those log files myself, in 2003, 2008R2 or 2012, but generally speaking log files are fine to move off to another location - I tend to order by date modified and move out all but the most recent one or two. If nothing has complained after a few days you can delete the log files from wherever you stored them temporarily.

After having a look inside one of the log files, i could see it was logs from our Network Policy Server, all clients accessing the wifi are being logged as well as other events

now knowing where to look, i have found the settings and It is set to delete older logs when the disk runs out of space so this should cover it.
