6Foot2 Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 BBC Worldwide have issues release dates for Peter Capaldi's first season as The Doctor on DVD and Blu-ray: Link: Peter Capaldi at BBC Shop Release date: 17th November which will be nine days after the last episode of that series airs on TV.
Fazza Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 To be honest I dont think I'll bother watching this series as the BBC has spoilt it for me by revealing too much information about it (and I'm not referring to the leaks from the USA) they keep tweeting loads of info and photos when it should be left as a surprise, they've even told us what enemies of the Doctor will be in the new series so nothing much will be a surprise!

rich_tech Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Thought the new episode was "OK" though I didn't expect much because of the transition it will take a while to bed him in I think, I like Capaldi though, different gravitas and direction to Matt Smith's Doctor for me. Lets hope the writing is decent for this series and not focus on stuff like we had with "Amy/Rory" in series past
fiza Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I thought it was ok. Didnt like the over the top attempts at humour. I too like Capaldi and think he will make a good doctor.
LeMarchand Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 A recent discussion on this site reminded me of the proof printed in SFX that this new series really will be darker:
SYNACK Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Liked the new Episode, Steven Moffat can really turn out a great episode, all about managing fear and messed up time lines, the new series is finally hitting it's stride as far as I can se.

6Foot2 Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 i disagree i even forgot it was on till i was sorting through the pvr and so far if this season dosent get some decent writing soon i think i might give up on it Doctor Who has gone through some truly dire periods of stories and writing but here we are: All still fans. I don't think that the recent stories are as bad as some I might call to mind. I am determined to stick with it in the hope of improvement and as a result of a genuine attachment to the program and a desire for it to continue.
