ICT strategy in Schools. Anyone outsourced this?

Simple question really. Does anyone have their IT tech in house...but with strategic lead, management of projects etc outsourced?

We have in house ICT team but when the school strategy project came about, we decided external help and resources were needed to help guide and drive our vision and program of developing for the next 3 years.

I will not recommend our consultants just yet as the work is still on-going. Once the process is complete we plan to implement and drive the future strategy internally.
