RyanD Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone, Needing some expert help! I've been asked to help out with the printing of the staff timetable as our person in charge had previously used Nova T4 to print the all staff timetable and it is now unavailable. We would like to be able to sort the staff by department and then print so that the output is something like Page 1 shows the week 1 timetable for each member of staff teaching Chemistry, Physics, Biology Page 2 shows the week 2 timetable for each member of staff teaching Chemistry, Physics, Biology Page 3 shows the week 1 timetable for each member of staff teaching History, Geography, Maths Page 4 shows the week 2 timetable for each member of staff teaching History, Geography, Maths and so on. Is this possible or is there a more straightforward way of doing it than exporting into excel and manually moving columns, formatting cells etc Any help would be much appreciated! Boredguy Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Have you looked at Reports -> Timetables -> Selection You might need to tweak the settings but for us it nearly prints our Week 1 table on 1 sheet of A4, and Week 2 on the following page. *edit* In fact if you select the Reports -> Timetables -> All Staff Timetable, you can then order the staff by Department from the option on the top menu Edited June 17, 2014 by Boredguy
Linfit Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 There is a routine in SIMS similar to the Selection timetable option in Nova-T. Its in Reports>Timetables>Selection Timetables This will allow you to pick up teachers of a subject or group of subjects and then play with the formatting. Its worth experimenting with the layout options screen in there - its a little non-intuitive but once you work it out you can save layouts and use them over again.
RyanD Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Thanks, I'd been looking at that too. That is pretty much the way we'd like it but is there any way to sort the staff using this method any other way than alphabetically, ideally by department or even be able to manually adjust the list so the staff are listed in the desired order? For the most part the staff are listed in dept order but there seems to be some out of order. If there was some way to manually move the staff into order I think I'd be happy!
ICT_Pro Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Hi I have similar question if if someone found the work around please... One teacher want to print subject timetable but he is unable to print on single page. SIMS timetable layout spread on 5 pages for all week. Just spoke to Capita support and been told there is no option to print on single page due to design but you can pet the change request.
