Server 2012 Denied Permission Problem

My user account is a member of the domain admins group and has full control over the folder in question. When I try to delete the folder I am faced with "Folder Access Denied: You need permission to perform this action". This seems to be the case with all folders ending .v2.

 

UAC has been disabled on the server and I have tried with multiple domain admin accounts.

 

Anybody else seen this before?

.v2 is a roaming profile. By default you won't have permissions to edit or delete these, even as a domain admin. Unless you enable the policy 'Add the Administrators security group to roaming user profiles'. Even then this will only take place on newly created profile folders.

 

To delete the current ones you'll need to take ownership of them first.

Try taking ownership of the folder - (Security>advanced>owner>edit>change owner to)

 

Server2012 can be a little more defensive of the security on folders and such than earlier versions...

I'm still unable to delete the folders even after taking ownership of them!

It is as #DevilsAdvocate said in an earlier post. I hit this when testing my first 2012 box. I found that I had to take ownership several times (obviously also selecting sub-folders) before it would allow me to delete. Even then, on some of the profiles, I had to use the cmd prompt to rmdir.
