I know what your thinking. You read the thread title and your heart sank. The same rings true for sims/java/adobe/printers/pearson software.

 

I'm trying to update itunes on home pc. I've resorted to uninstall and install the latest (hope it works). I've used the application software updater with no issues in the past. Dug around and MSI error 1305 is happening for the apple application support msi.

 

By the way when did the installer become 107MB ?

 

I recently broke my raid 1 array so i think this may be a case of p.i.c.n.i.c . The SYSTEM account didn't have the usual full control permissions on my profile. So I can now have the bloat again.

 

Just thought I'd share in case some poor soul has the same issue.
