I know its a beta, but the help pages are very limited. A bit more detail would be useful. How do I get a mobile version. I can just about play on browser on phone, but suggests there is mobile option?

HELP!

I moved my Home base to a new map. On new map my points show in the box at the top but there is no base operate from and there is no green dot anywhere. What do I do to get a base?

This game is a money pit on which you cannot advance. Each map is controlled by one of several very powerful alliances. They cheat, using dummy accounts to take "newbie" bases, they prevent you from even establishing a base on a brand new map by arriving before you (they move massive forces from the previous map), and ambushing you when you take your first base... and continue to do so until they own the entire map. And it is absolutely impossible to play this game for free and have even minor success. The precious "titanium" needed for upgrades of things as simple as base defense is costly to purchase, and virtually impossible to build in the game free of charge. When the more advanced "helicopter" bases finally arrive on the map, they come all at once, and create a mad scramble to get them... but ultimately the commanding alliance will take them all since they can over power any base and build hundred of units to defeat you. Honestly, I strongly suspect that these mega alliances are run by the owners of the game, who use them to keep players buying titanium and filling their wallets.

If you are not interested in spending hundreds of dollars to play this game, avoid this game. Just stop now and don't even start. If you ARE interested in spending that kind of money, buy a more conventional video game that costs $60 which does not require constant outlays of cash in order to survive.

After spending about $150 on this game, I am really no further along than when I started. Yes, I have a few token bases, but it is just a matter of time before the leading Alliance wipes us all off of the map. (I am speaking of the LIONS alliance on Server 1 of the uk.alphawars1.com, in case the owners and developers are paying attention.)

And, btw, is this game still in beta a year and a half later? There are virtually no instructions or ways to get basic information on this game. You kind of have to learn as you go and hope you find a team that can actually help you. Some of the text is in German.

I agree with Apuuli - this game is unplayable. Alliances are too big and new players get destroyed too easily. Its impossible to try and get a solid alliance built since there is no communication possible outside of the alliance. So you can't get to know others on the server or let them know you want them in your alliance. There is no way for smaller alliances to try and team against the dominant one. Plus everything costs crazy titanium. And then when you get wiped - costs a lot more titanium to rebuild. Unless you want to be a click-monkey you have to spend titanium to even produce resources. Seriously, I tend to do well in games like this, but this one is just not playable unless you become part of the very large alliance and they only want you if you are prepared to spend crazy amounts of cash buying titanium. STAY AWAY.

I was let down. Luckily I only wasted my time and not my money. Pay players dominate the maps. If you plan on playing for free you better be ready for many hours/days of farming. Clicking one minute at a time for small bits of resources is a genius way of wasting peoples time. I'll give Alpha wars that one. The unit cost in resources is ridiculously high. I'm surprised that Alpha wars just doesn't sell unit packages at that rate. Even after managing to capture an AI base, an enemy play destroyed it with ten minutes while I built defenses. This happened to me several times. Most of the time before my units could get to a destination they were destroyed by massive enemy armies either patrolling or forming blockades to the AI bases. I don't really know whats the point of trying anymore so I'm finished with Alpha wars. Just another bait and switch free to play game.

I would like to echo the concerns/points posted by Wooserloop and Apuuli.

Advancing in this game is almost impossible. The map I attempted to play on is dominated and controlled by a developer alliance, ADDICTED. Whenever our alliance attempted to take a new neutral base it felt like they allowed us to get it and start building it up, only to come in such immense force at steal it. I feel stupid for spending money attempting to retain bases, this approach is as pointless as trying to build up for free, which would take forever and be so tedious.

Take my advice, find a different game to play that has achievable goals and only requires you to spend money if you want to tweak and enhance.

Hope these posts help people to see through the cynical way this game has been developed. They have spent the bare minimum of time on any help or instructions and are simply in it for a quick buck.

A bitter irony; the developers would just sit back... Laughing at how silly it is... While collecting money from players who spent their hard-earn cash to blow each other up.

Just trying out the game, observing and checking out how the developers these days swindle money from the public through cheap, browser games.

Didn't spend a dime on it, and never am I going to do it.

By the way, there is another such scheme called Delta Wars. It just so wanna make me laugh about it too.

Frankly I think the game has been hacked. The screen freezes when certainly players attack. You can't defend because the screen is frozen so you lose all your tanks. I've also seen lower level tanks take out an equal number of much higher level tanks, even though shouldn't have been able to.

I will echo most of the above for sure. The game could have had so much potential with a few basic changes. I was lucky to have found this thread and a few other comments about the game around on the interweb stating that the game will suck you in, click, click, click.. and just as you think your getting somewhere.. 'boom'.. 3 days of clicks gone in 30 seconds.. then you wonder.. is it worth a few shillings.. to compete... the answer is NO! STOP! DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON ALPHA WARS.

I sympathise with those that have spent money and as I have already said, had it not been for those sharing their unfortunate experiences, I too would have fallen foul of this scam and I choose the word 'scam', because it is a scam, a swindle. It's imposssible to compete without paying and when you do, you still cant compete.

For UK: Alpha Wars

NOTE: This game is still in beta!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Hi all...Just wanted to comment on the "BETA" bit! These types of games are kept in BETA so they don't have to comply with stricter rules of integrity and support. However, you need to know that when money passes hands (ie: you pay money to the company to play the game) the company is obliged to give support and make sure that the game is played with the highest integrity and fixing problems that affect your playing. If they don't, you have legal recourse.

Just as an aside, be aware that game moderators and developers play Alpha-Wars with free Titanium. They are expected (unspoken) to play against strong alliances to force the spending of more money to defend against their attacks.

Cheating is rife amongst these players including multiple accounts that are used to force vigorous defenses (which force you to spend more money to buy titanium).

This is not a frivolous post and as I have documented proof that this is happening.

We are putting a facebook group together to gather relevant information regarding irregularities in this game...Please feel free to join or follow. There is already real expedience of blatant cheating that goes ignored on that page @

So be warned!!! the game is rigged to make you spend LOTS of money.

Aside from the hacking and cheating by STUTZ66 and the expense to play its a pretty cool game.

If only the game developers cared..

I have 2 home bases on AW2, one is on map 233 and the other is on 10. I randomly went on to map 10 and a new home base appeared. I know that if I have more than one base my production level decreases, so now I don't get as much material as I did with one base. How do I make the base go away or is it a bug?

Map 10 is a default base, every player has a base on Map 10.

You cannot make map 10 base go away even if it is destroyed

it will come back.

Totally agree with the above. I'm playing Delta Wars and nothing changed. No D/PM, only 1 language chat (so much Spanish, Italian, Dutch, etc in 1 window), very big alli's & just very little to no options/helpdesk/helppages. Spend €10 and will not spend another dime. Not on Alpha Wars, not on Delta Wars or any game from Studio Hoppe.
