SSL VPN client that allows connect before login ?

Hi all,

 

Just had a new Smoothwall installed. Trying to configure OpenVPN to work the way our old Cisco VPN worked on windows 7.

 

Im planning on giving all staff a VPN to avoid taking data offsite on keys and to use the MIS system.

 

We use redirected Desktops and MyDocs for all users.

 

Got my VPN connected and can browse the network although I need some logon scripts/GPO's to run at logon so the folders redirect.

 

I think that means I have to connect up the VPN before they log on.

 

Can you use the Windows VPN client to connect to an SSL VPN? Or are there any other free VPN clients out there that anyone is using.

 

Any alternative suggestions welcome.
