Back in December I needed to replace my main laptop and had been told wonderful things about Lenovo. I had a look round and decided to get an Ultrabook and finally settled on the lenovo yoga 11s as it is very portable and also looked nice.

After a very short time I realized that the all in-one mouse + click-able mouse buttons was going to be a complete nightmare. Because the mouse pad and buttons are the same thing and whenever I want to click on something the mouse pointer moves as its being clicked. I have checked and it is not a faulty laptop as others are having similar issues with different Lenovo models.

I actually gave this laptop 5 months but could struggle no longer and purchased a Samsung 540U3C for the same price as the Lenovo. I must say the Samsung is the best laptop I have ever owned or used and I have used many many laptops over the years, I highly recommend this laptop.

Why are so many laptops being made with the mouse pad and buttons in one?

Lenovo are well known for having awful trackpads. Avoid.

have you seen the notebooks that come with the trampoline pad its dreadful the whole pad goes down when you click it

Because Apple do it.

I have to say that the touchpad on my MacBook Pro is by far the best touchpad I have ever used. The activation force on the buttons is quite high so there is a very real difference between touching and clicking, plus the pad is pretty big which results in me rarely using the bottom of it.

The touchpad on my Air is amazing, I struggle to use a 'normal' one after using that. I have just bought a Magic Mouse for my Mac at work, wish I had going with the touchpad now :(

I find the touchpad is usually the one thing I like about Macbooks, but only because it's so integrated with everything. Done badly it's awful.

The worst trackpads I find are the tiny and rough ones that are just plain annoying and ticklish to use after a while. *cough* HP Minis!
