jamwatn Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Hi, I'm not sure if there is such a thing but I'm looking for some software similar to Impero's 'Room Layout' view. Is there some sort of network mapping software you can import images into or a way to have PC's/I.P's set out in? Ideally it would be a realtime/refreshable view. Can't seem to find any tools online?
DrPerceptron Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Have a look at NagVis - it's a visual layout for Nagios reportings - we use it for some things, but not a lot - mostly visual representations of cabinet health across site.
krisd32 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I love Visio. It has everything already in there for network diagrams in the 2013 version
jamwatn Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Visio looks good but doesn't look like it could stand-alone and run real time? Nagvis also looks pretty good but is it a Linux based program? Really doesn't look like there is much available which is a shame. Advanced IP scanner does the nitty gritty but of course there is no room layout.
Dos_Box Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 The Dude will do it. MikroTik Routers and Wireless: The Dude
jamwatn Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 I'll try that program, looks promising! What I want to be able to view is what user is logged on to which pc. Which pc is turned on in which room and finally be able to view/access the pc's shares with a link. All by class view! Plus printer links if possible.
jamwatn Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Weird. Cant seem to work 'the dude'. Does a scan however finds/displays no hosts!!!
jamwatn Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 I got it working..Just need some help with it and the forum is rubbish!! (NOT EDUGEEK)
