Nothing get installed. Any help appreciated
woreilly Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Why are you not using Group Policy to push it out? To get the MSI, download the .exe, extract using WinRAR and upload the MSI to your GPO
superhl Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 I push everything with Local update publisher. Sometimes for testing I use PDQ. I tried pushing with PDQ but workstation displays version 11.0.0.0. not 11.0.0.7.
woreilly Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Is there a property you can edit within the file you are pushing out? Whenever Adobe release a new MSI, I open it with Orca and edit the 'Product Name' and 'Product Version' fields so that I can clearly see within Group Policy what I'm deploying without having to expand every tree! Out of curiosity, how long does it take you from start to finish to deploy your updated software using LUP? I.e. from creating the update, uploading it to WSUS and deploying out to a client? What Server version are you on as well?
superhl Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Only takes a few seconds. I customize with customization utility. Here is a screenshot of the update I created within LUP. Also, I have tried deploying with PDQ but same it continues to display 11.0.0.0. Have not had a chance this week to test. If I download the latest adobe reader exe., it should have version 10.0.0.7?
