E-Safety Desktop Wallpaper

Hi All,

 

I wondered if you could help me. We are currently reviewing our E-Safety policies at school and looking at ideas to inform the students differently. We have come up with the idea of creating different wallpapers for our computer systems that change daily. I just wondered if you have any designs that are available for download or if you know of anywhere we could get some as I am struggling for them at the moment and I am currently lacking in creativity as its Monday.

 

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

 

This would all be aimed at primary school by the way.

Hello Andy,

We do something similar but utilise screensavers and the login box (CC3). I created a couple of screensavers based on SMART from KidSmart and INSAFE. We swap them with other screensaver (xmas, remembrance day etc) via RMMC.

The login box takes BMP's so simple messages can be changed whenever we need.

Creating wallpapers based on e-safety sounds like a competition for the children.

Dont know if this may be of some help. I wrote this a while back for similar reasons. Save this off as a vbs then set this code up to run every half hour as a scheduled task. It looks for a photo YYYY-MM-DD.jpg e.g. 2014-15-05.jpg. Compares it to see if its newer than the old one then copies it over.

 

This way one of our assistant heads can make the backgrounds to what they want and cue them up in advance.
