Been migrated to EOP "successfully". "No interruptions to mailflow" we were told.

Wrong. So, so wrong.

We were using FOPE to filter email to our Zimbra on site server absolutely fine.

Following the procedures to migrate to EOP and we now have no incoming mail. MX records appear fine (as to what MS told us they should be) and check out OK on mxtoolbox.

Any email going in gets bounced back:

The email address you entered couldn't be found. Check the recipient's email address then try to resend the message. For more tips to resolve this issue see DSN code 5.1.1 in Exchange Online. If the problem continues contact your help desk.

The inbound SMTP hostname is set to the new MX record entry which I believe is right - it used to be mail.messaging.microsoft.com

Any pointers gratefully received! Early morning in US still so can't get any answers from them for ages :(

Are all your users present in the Office 365 users list (even if not using it) with their correct email addresses?

If they aren't, check that your accepted domain is set to Internal Relay (not Authoritative) under mail flow > accepted domains in the Exchange admin center.

No idea. We can't sign into it. Another, separate problem. Got hold of MS in the end and they've told us to revert our MX record back to FOPE whilst they fix it :( Day of no incoming emails :(

Turns out it was their end. Spent a lot of last night thanks to the timezones on the phone/email back and forth and something hadn't migrated across properly, settings wise. All up and running now! :D
