[sims] Change of URN

Hi,

 

Have recently taken over some management of SIMs, and have discovered that our URN hasn't been updated since we converted to academy (October 2012). I've contacted local support and am awaiting a response. Does anyone know the impact, whether internal or external (ie on performance reporting etc) of changing URN mid year? Only asking the question as there's a pop up on the Census when going to run it (LA have said that Census doesn't use URN, but seeing as I'm aware I'd prefer to get it sorted now!).

Presumably that means the Census data went out with the wrong URN on it?

Census data prior to now, yes - LA have said that for Census purposes the DfE number is the reference point used, so that's fine. But when checking performance tables, this seems to have used URN (no data listed against current URN), so I'm expecting some implication with regards to Examinations data (be that in SIMs or just external I'm not sure).
