OK Apple and i-stuff is not my thing so bare with!

I have an elderly friend who has the following devices:

iPad

iPad Mini

iPod

Mac Airbook

They have their apple stuff on itunes BUT it dosn't seem to be syncing between devices. Before they phone Apple is there something they should be looking at such as ios level/compatability.

I havn't got a scooby but as ever because I work in IT tehy see me as a font of all knowledge.

First things first.

Is there an active iTunes Account, and is the account the same on each device?

Assuming that, when you plug in the iPad, for example, does it even register as available in iTunes?

Assuming it is present in iTunes, check what is supposed to be synced by clicking each of the tabs Apps, Music, TV Shows, Podcasts, Books, Photos.

If nothing new is due to be synced, then nothing will change on the iPad.

Check this first, before doing support call to apple
