Interesting packaging!

Just looking for a few Netgear switches and the packaging details on this one made me laugh

Anyone know what 'Certified Frustration free packaging' is?

I would assume any packaging that:

 

Doesn't slice open your hands

Doesn't take half a day to open

Is like playing pass the parcel with a group of folks with OCD

Isn't overkill - an entire Euro pallet for a mouse for instance

Isn't a stick of laptop memory floating in a 2 foot by 2 foot box full of packing chips

 

It's rather scraping the barrel of selling points!

It's an Amazon thing. It doesn't come hermetically sealed into Katana-grade plastic, but in simple brown cardboard instead (usually). Usually the same price as the normal product, if you have a choice, get the Frustration Free package

Its pretty good, though I did have a mobile phone telephone headset sent to me in a package that wasnt glued down and open loosely both ends in their foldover carton packaging, but on the whole its good on the packaging, even if their rep for other stuff isn't great depending on what you read

For how long though? TP stands for something else! Not sure what's worse, TP or D!
