ICT Operations Manager

£24,892 - £31,160 per annum

 

Full time, 36.5 hours per week

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, experienced and highly motivated leader of IT. The School is well resourced and depends upon the use of IT to support effective whole school leadership and management and fundamentally, to support engaging and challenging teaching and learning in the classroom. Providing a first class, effective and efficient, IT support service must be a key priority for the successful candidate.

Whilst experience in an education setting would be useful it is not essential. However, a proven track record of success in a previous or current leadership role, with experience of leading and line-managing staff is crucial. You will need to demonstrate your background IT experience, resilience, and organisational skills. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will need to have a positive approach to working effectively with all members of the school community, students, technicians, administrative and teaching staff.

The person appointed must be committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students at the school. An enhanced CRB check is required for all successful candidates.

The successful candidate will:

• Play a key role in the development of the future use of ICT for whole school teaching and learning and management systems.

• Be required to provide ICT training for staff and support other related

activities within the school.

• Offer assistance to those who are not ICT literate.

• Maintain the day to day running of the school networks.
