Searching around on the web seems to suggest they are M3, but I'm having trouble finding them in the length required to fit through the adjustable threaded tube of the ceiling mount (needs to be about 45mm). Anybody mount their projectors like this and know of anywhere that sells M3 machine screws in this length? Kol.

There's a few places that do long M3s but they're generally custom made, and not a standard one. e.g. Machine Screw Slotted Pan Head - M3 x 50mm - Bright Zinc Plated - IronmongeryDirect.co.uk But the M3.5s are the standard electrical style ones at that length, Electrical Screw M3.5 x 50mm Pack Of 50 | Trade Value Screws | Screwfix.com Steve 1
Steve21 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Ebay Or More eBay! Problem with those sorts is: Screws up to 20mm long are fully threaded, screws over 20mm long are partially threaded with 18mm of thread. Will that get through the mounty points? Steve

Went to B&Q yesterday and came back with a pack of 3.5's thinking I could fudge it, but they won't even fit down the plastic around the hole. Don't really want to be forcing it through while standing on a table and balancing the projector in the other hand (not that I'd do such a thing)... Was hoping to get them from a local type 'actual' shop today, as I'm getting grief because teachers can't teach without a projector you know! Also hoping to get slotted or philips/posi not hex/allen. Just assumed from the comment on the threaded tube it's one of the longer tubes that go into the brackets, thus requiring longer thread. Had a few of those before which was annoying Only a thought to check that's all. Steve 1
