We've just started using codecademy - some of the sections come up with an error message saying "not connected" when you try and go into them. I've approved the site through our filters, but that hasn't helped. Does anyone know how to get this working, e.g. other sites to unblock, proxy exceptions, etc?

We've given up using the site, since it does not like to run if Impero is installed on a workstation (especially if Impero is not set to BHO proxy mode which only blocks IE sites)

Otherwise it's perfectly fine in Chrome and Impero BHO mode but that defeats the purpose of blocking stuff in class at the teachers whim.

Thanks @Boredguy We are doing this in Chrome, and don't have Impero installed (although we do have CC3 on those computers, which introduces its own set of problems!). Did you have to make any changes to your proxy for it?

You need to install proxy to connect it.

Hi @awan247 What do you mean, exactly? We do use a proxy server but the browser already knows about it. Are you saying we need to bypass the proxy?

Try it on a station with Tutor disabled and see if it suddenly starts to connect.

Nice idea, but no - it doesn't work on a Tutor-free PC either. It is odd - it is only the Python one which doesn't work, the others are all fine.
