Trapper Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I've inherited an old USB HP tape backup device and a few dozen 12/24GB HP DDS3 tapes. What other media type can these drives take? Can they take the newer 500GB/1TB tapes?
Bananas Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 You need model number Cxxxx Drives are backwards compatible usually but not forwards compatible. You're probably better off unless it's a newer drive budgeting for an lto drive to replace it
