So Ive got a DG834GT Netgear, solid as a rock with an uptime of 1100 days and an 11mb sync for over a year. Internet at this location has been flawless.

And now Sky have come and taken over, and they require changes to the ADSL modem settings....

Thing is, I only have remote access to the modem, and they require changing multiple settings that I will lose connection once I change one setting before I get a chance to change the other.

My idea was to download the config file, make the required changes, and then upload the new config.

Problem is I dont know what the conf should look like with the new settings.

Does anyone happen to have a spare DG834GT Adsl modem they could make some changes to the settings for me and send the backup.cfg file I can use for the settings?

(Or have another suggestion as to how I can make these changes remotely pls)

I am fine it is my remote site which is now offline :)

I didnt want to gamble with a remote config upload incase i bricked the box, at least now I just need to wait for someone to be able to get local to the modem to talk them through the changes.

No biggie. But another reason to hate Sky/Murdoch ;p

My move from Be* to Sky was this Monday, which was also messed up. I had a static IP with Be, and I wanted one with Sky as well - a letter from Sky told me that they'd send all the relevant IP details before the move. That didn't happen, and I ended up without internet on the move date.

In the end, I had to call support (10 minute queue time) who just advised to reset the router back to default (which worked). Annoying situation due to it being poorly managed. And I don't think I'm the only one, judging by message on forums and twitter.
