Good afternoon there.

We have got Smart UX60 projectors in all of our classrooms other than one or two. They have worked very solidly for years since we had them installed in 2011.

Recently the output on almost all of them has become very dim. Before you ask, here is what we have done:

  • Replaced lamps on all projectors (hours are <1000 on all of them)
  • Had each projector professionally serviced and cleaned
  • Reset menu settings such that they are back to factory default
  • Ensured all vents and air intake areas are clear of obstructions

I was really hoping the bulb replacement would have helped, but it seems not.

Can anyone else think of something we might try?

All of the projectors are out of warranty now, so I can't get in touch with Steljes.

I came to this site looking for this same answer. I have the same UX60s that are getting dim. I've changed the lamp with no success. Still dim. I've also tried different wattage lamps with the same results. I've opened up the whole projector and vacuumed and blew every inch of dust out. Lenses are also clear. The only thing I can think of left is the power supply is weakening. Can not provide the proper amount of wattage. These things are out of warranty so I'm trying what ever I can.

Hi,

Did you have any luck with this? We have a UX60 which keeps turning itself off, no overheating messages etc. and we've changed the bulb, it lasted longer on a bulb change (over 40 mins so we thought we have solved it), but 3 days later we are back to a 5 minute cut off.
