Boot and Login Time Speed Performance

Hi All,

 

I am in the middle of a major upgrade of our network and its systems. During this we are re-imaging and rebuilding all the workstations. I have been talking to some colleges and they have achieved a great speed boost from running VB Scripts to move task to run at shutdown etc..

 

I am no great code developer so I am wondering what you guys do to make your boot and login times faster for your end users?

 

Any suggestions would be great. I have done the obvious and to be honest they are not bad, but the college has been through a bad IT year due to lack of investment and we need to show and massive increase for september.

Faster boot and logins here was sped up dramatically by using SSD's on our machines!
