I'm a complete newbie to Moodle as we are just in the early stages of implementing it here. By some miracle I have managed to get SSO working :)

However I am struggling with the "Windows Shares Block" which uses the smbclient. We are running Moodle off a Windows Server (sorry *.nix guys) and I've got CYGWIN installed and the most up-to-date smbclient.exe

However, when I try opening links to shares they just open up as block windows with a toolbar along the top (for file uploads, new folders etc)

Anybody got a simple how to guide for making this work on Windows? I've posted on the Moodle forums but no answer as yet. We are running Moodle 2.6 btw.

EDIT - additional notes: SSL is turned off, Clam AV is disabled and I have entered a username prefix of DOMAINNAME/ into the settings page

(Replying to myself here!) Spotted your comment in the add-ons database https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=block_smb_web_client Guy Thomas is very good at replying so hopefully you might get a response soon, if not also here.

Yep that me on there :) Will take a nosey this morning for replies. It seems so many people run it from a *nix box which we don't have, it just makes it harder for someone like me who is using Windows IIS :-/
