fairm010 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I've started to enroll our staff laptops into Meraki just to get some info on their usage. Most of them are HP 250's rolled out a while ago but under Model in Meraki it looks as if its using the serial number as the Model number. Is there a way to correct this annoyance?
AngryTechnician Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 This is usually due to bad info in the BIOS. Try running wmic computersystem get model and see if you get the same result. If you do, it's the manufacturer's fault and there may not be much you can do. If not, contact Meraki.
AngryTechnician Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Looks like this one is Meraki's problem then. Try contacting support and see what they have to say. Be sure to tell them the model is being returned correctly by WMIC.
