iPad Settings App

Hi everyone,

 

we recently purchased a set of iPads for school, unfortunately we are having problems with the children changing the settings and putting passcodes on and then being unable to unlock them. Does anybody know of an app that is available that locks down the settings, I know that the ipad has built in restrictions that can be activated. But we would like to further restrict the children if possible.

Apple Configurator on Mac or Meraki are your best bet. A quick search on this site and you'll find tons of threads on the subject.

There is unfortunately no way to turn off the setting app or hide it on the device. It's something you have to live with when you buy into Apple kit. On things like Apple Configurator you can set passcodes for profiles you have created to stop students from deleting the profiles but no way to actually stop them editing the settings on the device.... stupid..... I know. Welcome to the world of Apple!

There is no way to turn off the setting app, that's what i hate about Apple!
