HAP+ v10 Preview 2 - /api/tiles/ 404

Hi,

 

I just installed HAP+ on IIS 8.0 and gotten most things working - however I get no icons on tiles, they are simply coloured boxes with the tiles title text at the bottom.

 

Manually navigating to, for instance https://hap/api/tiles/icons/64/64/images/icons/metro/folders-os/DocumentsFolder.png gets me a 404.0 error.

 

Tried to do some JSON debug for you but could see no references to the tiles api folder.

Can you browse to /api/setup, you should get an endpoint not found error

Ok, can you delete the contents of the iconcache folder in app_data

Seems to have made no difference I'm afraid - still the same error.

 

The only file in there was colors.xml, and that was automatically recreated when I logged into HAP+ again.

 

Tiles are still blank though.

Ok, are you running HAP in the root or in a sub folder (/hap/)

I'm running it in the root - didn't want to use the subfolder as this has a subdomain purely for HAP+.

It could be cause it some issues, can you try moving it into a sub folder, you can set it up to redirect to /hap/ when you visit the root

Same result I'm afraid, with it running at https://hap/hap/.

 

Still getting endpoint not found for api/setup/.

 

https://hap/hap/api/setup/help does load, however.

Endpoint not found was what I was looking for actually, it shows that asp.net is behaving. Can you check the event log on the server for any errors.

I have checked the event log, the only error coming up is the following:

An error occurred in Home Access Plus+

 

Page: HAP.Web.API.MyPic

Creating Directory Search and Searching for then current user
Using filter: (&(objectClass=user) (sAMAccountName=db))
Found 1 results, processing 1st result
Found 0 thumnbnailPhotos

 

Which I took to mean that it simply couldn't find a user pic for me. Aside for that there are no HAP messages other than informational stating I have logged in.

 

When visiting https://10.104.6.161/hap/api/tiles/icons/64/64/images/icons/metro/folders-os/UserNo-Frame.png I get the following:

Ok, for some reason IIS isn't passing that request to asp.net for processing, can you send me a copy of your web.config file please

I did try a clean one from the zip again and made no edits to it at all aside for removing the IIS8-unfriendly section. No difference so I don't *think* it's anything I did..

Apologies for double post but uh.. the icons seem to have spontaneously started showing?

 

I've really no clue how that could have happened as I've not changed anything since I last posted, I just idly refreshed the page as I was closing some tabs and suddenly the tile icons appeared..

Glad it's working, odd that's it's just started working, must of been one of those things.

I tend to really dislike 'randomly' fixed as I never know if it's going to 'randomly' unfix itself later...

 

Will keep a close eye on it!
