Say what you want about PewDiePie, like him or hate him, personally I find him a little annoying but he is doing something right with over 25 million subscribers, 3 billion video views Kodaku claim he brings in up to $1million per month from ad revenue!

 

I'm pretty amazed at the figures to be honest, has anyone here a you tube partner or earned anything from ad revenue?

 

I've received the request to become a youtube partner once my channel hit 7.5k views in 12 months, very small figures granted and I don't expect to get a penny from it but I do find the audience analysis on videos interesting, retention rate, drop off points, viewer location, device and OS info etc..

You don't need to be a partner for stats. I received a request for partnership, refused it on the basis I will get barely anything from it and my videos will just be littered with ads. Aside from some Content ID matches my channel is otherwise ad free.

The ads are optional even for a partner I believe, I get the option to select different types of ads anyway, which I don't bother of course.

Not really...

 

It's down to the way youtube suggests videos.

 

He registered the account in Sweden, then moved to Italy, so it got pushed out to far more people than it otherwise would have.
