jb2201 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hi all, Just a quick query, sorry if its been answered elsewhere already, I did have a search but couldn't really find anything. We are looking to change our password policy to a more complex set of policies than those that are enforced at the moment. I have setup a disabled GPO, which contains the new password policy settings. However if I switch the policies over, what will be the protocol? Will enabling the new policy allow users to log on and reset their passwords? As their original passwords (although I will ensure all accounts must reset their password after changing the GPO over) will not meet the complexity of the new password policy on the machine. Or will it just accept the password with the new policy enforced and ask them to change their password? Hope that makes sense, thanks!
Gibson335 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 It allows them to use current password until it next needs changing. 1
