tmcd35 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Heelllppp! As anyone come across ACS ACR120U based MiFare readers? I have one sent from the people recommending some door locks to us (ACS ACR1281U-C8). They sent me the USB reader with a link to ACS's website to download drivers and tools. It appears it's a proprietory system so the PC/SC tools on their website and anything I find on the web doesn't appear to see the reader. In a last ditch attempt before having to brush up on my Java coding skills, does anyone here have an app they've downloaded/come across/written themselves and are willing to share? All I need to be able to do is read the UID off some MiFare cards so I can set up user accounts in Active Directory ahead of DocuPro being installed next week as part of our new print solution. Thanks
DarshanC Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Hi tmcd, did you get anywhere with this? I'm in the same boat. You would think software for this sort of thing would be easy to find! Thanks -Darshan
torgo_uk Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Hi Guys, You can use Read-a-Card software from Read RFID cards quickly and easily - Read-a-Card for this application, we've used it for a similar use case and works well. A trial is available which works for 30 days if memory servers. Essentially it emulates a keyboard wedge so should work in AD or any other application.
howartp Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Yep, I used Read-a-Card for our setup a few years agoz
