Chromebook - popup opens off screen

Hi,

 

Bit of a odd one, I bought a chromecast device to have a play with but for some reason when I go to find the device he windows opens right over to the left of the screen so I can't do anything with it. Can't drag it across or maximize it... happens on them all too. Anyone seen this or has a obvious solution. Got it working with my W7 laptop but the shared image is pants, all the colours are washed out.
