Assuming you don't want to disable the Charms Bar completely you could set the following registry values.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Disable Charms Bar (Top Right)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\EdgeUi]
"DisableTRCorner"=dword:00000001

; Disable Charms Bar Hint
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\EdgeUI]
"DisableCharmsHint"=dword:00000001

Do they really call this mess the "Charms Bar"? I never understood why they wanted to make the user interface on a server, look so much like a phone.

Is anyone else having a nightmare with this CharmsBar, no matter what I do (including the reg keys) when I hit the bottom right corner the charms bar appears. And when you can get to the WiFi menu and turn on airplane mode as a Pupil this is a serious problem, and the main one as to why I'm not yet rolling out Win8.1, that and the HUGE >2min lag during "Preparing Windows"....

Am I just missing something obvious?
