ste1988 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hi, Having some issues with mavericks software update. My client has a config profile installed with one setting, enforcing local software update from the server and not the app store. The server is successfully setup and downloading all updates. The problem is when i click on the client software update i get an error "can't connect to macserver.local" I am pointing the client to this; http://macserver.local:8088/catalogs.sucatalog Problem is this has been working and had been updating the client, with software updates, but my client is still on 10.9 so 10.9.1 or 10.9.2 are not showing for the client to download and install, although the server displays them as downloaded and available for clients. What am i missing, as its never really been an issue on all other versions of server/client
furby Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Is it a 10.9 Server? What happens when you try the full link? http://server.domain.local:8088/index-10.9-mountainlion-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog
ste1988 Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Server is 10.9.2 after trying that link it lists all of the updates, ill push it out again and see what the clients do.
seawolf Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 You might give this utility a try to quickly test a few different settings http://www.allocinit.net/apps/suenabler Also, you might want to consider moving to caching server on Mavericks instead of ASUS. Probably less problematic long term. 1
