Can a Ruckus Big Dog Answer this please

I have been reading up on reviews of Wireless AC equipment and soon to be running my own test again on a variety of platforms. I am not 100% certain here, but it seems that Ruckus however seem to be overboasting their tech compared to others.

 

Whilst most state that the tech allows a theoretical max of 1.3Gbps, Ruckus have said they achieve speeds up to 7Gbps (802.11ac | Ruckus Wireless, Inc. < found here). Now am I misreading this or are they genuinely saying they have hit that speed on wifi, if so, how have they done this?

Depends which wave of ac devices the other vendors are talking about.

 

Phase 1 devices do have a theoretical capacity of 1.3Gbps, Phase 2 devices will, theoretically, push 7Gbps capacity.

Also, I think you're misreading it. They're saying the standard has a maximum of 7Gbps, and phase 2 of their deployment will feature 3+

Hello, As @Domino and @sparkeh have said they're saying that the max data rate could be near 7Gbps (phase 2), at phase 1 you will be looking at a theoretical max of 1.3Gbps.
