Creating batch files.

Hello and good morning fellow edugeeks!

 

Lately i have seen videos and articles on creating and using batch files to optimise workflow/efficiency and i am very interested in learning to do so, especially to copy the contents of one folder to another and update it with new items in the folder whenever i run the batch file.

However the tutorials i have came across online seem to all be very basic, so i was wondering what language i would need to learn to make and understand batch files.

 

Also if anyone knows any decent sites that can do this for me please do feel free to post

A batch script is just a txt file that calls whatever command line tool it is that you wish to use and automates the usage:

Gives you some reference to the commands available.
