Start Screen icons

I have 3 shortcuts pinned to the start screen on 8.1

They are all websites by way of "..Program Files\Google Chrome\chrome.exe

But they all show as a google icon. Sooo confusing for teachers!

(Guaranteed they WILL actually use it for Google homepage and ask why some other page comes up every time!)

 

The 'change icon' button via the shortcut properties doesnt seem to have any effect on the start screen

Anyone know how to change the icon for URLs on the start screen?

If these are deployed icons [deployed via Group Policy?] You could create a new shortcut with the properties you need and then change the icon to one of your choice before deployment:
