ASUS VivoTab Smart Windows 8 Pro Upgrade

Hey all,

 

We just brought one of these units in to play with.

 

Is there a simple way of installing 8 Pro or 8.1 Pro, Its comes with 8 std.

Just like you would a computer, go to the BIOS and boot from USB stick. Since the Asus doesn't come with a dedicated USB port use a USB to go cable normally a pound of amazon! Plugs into the same place you charge it. If you google a bit you'll find instructions on how to get to the BIOS. It can be done as I did it with my network manager when I had one Hope this helps.

Could i put the install media on a memory card (MicroSD) and boot from that?

Not 100% all I knew was it worked with USB stick sorry buddy

Done it. Copied win 8.1 to SD card. And upgraded windows.

 

So win 8 std to 8.1 pro.

ots something like volume up or down and power on from being off iirc
