Marksheet Printing Error Message

Hi,

 

When our users go into Ass Manager and come to print a marksheet they get the following error message:

 

"Unable to locate office path. Please associate the files to Microsoft Word and the files to Microsoft Excel"

 

Looking at SupportNet has drawn a blank and LEA support 'are going to get back to us'.

Do you have Office 2003 installed correctly?

Hmm, that's debatable as these are tablets installed by RM....

 

Saying that we're seeing it on Desktops too with 2K Office so I guess with them it's incompatibility?

Have seen the Office Path error in the past where a users profile / registry entries have references to more than one version of office.

 

If you create a new network user do you get the same problem?

Hi, thanks for the input. Have discovered that this error was because the staff member was using a laptop with Office 2000 on. We were also getting an 'unable to print. No default printer or printer installed' message on our lovely RM Tablets - this occurs if MS Orifice 2003 doesn't have at least sp2 onboard. As these tablets are part of a 'managed' service from RM aint we just gonna have a little battle on our hands getting them to put the service packs on!?
