Anybody had problems with IE7 and flash player.

Trying to run an online course provided by Promethean.

The course runs OK on PC's that have IE6 installed but not on the ones with IE7 installed.

It seems to be a problem wth flash player!

I have removed flash player using the flash player uninstaller and then installed the latest version.

When trying to run the online courses through IE7 another window opens that just reads error on page.

Anybody got ideas?

Could this problem be related to IE7's requirement that the user click on a Flash component to enable it before it actually starts running?

Issue with flash detailed here:-

http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/28984981/issues-with-ie7--flash.aspx

2 fixes that I have tried that both work:-

1. Add individual full url to trusted site

2. add registy value:-

. Navigate to the following Registry Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl

Add the following sub key:

FEATURE_BLOCK_LMZ_SCRIPT

Give it a new DWORD value of:

iexplore.exe

Data value:

0(zero)

We added reg value via gpo and that fixed it

Yes!

By adding the website to the trusted sites list the problem was solved.

I will also try the registry key you provided.

Thanks millerd1978 & dhicks for your reply's

The link to the information about the cross domain protection feature was informative too! COME ON MICROSOFT!!!!!!why don't they test things.
