Fable Anniversary

Over the weekend I went and bought Fable Anniversary, with fond memories of the original Fable I couldn't wait to play it again "Fully re-mastered with HD visuals and audio". I have to say though, I was thoroughly disappointed. The gameplay just felt jerky and I didn't feel the HD visuals were much improvement on the old graphics, in fact I would say they were worse. Also the controls some how didn't feel right any more.

 

Perhaps my memory of Fable has been rose tinted with time, but I have to say I feel that Fable Anniversary has destroyed the game for me. What I hoped would be an enjoyable nostalgic gaming experience turned out to just be a waste of £30...

 

Has anyone else played it yet?

That's a shame. I was really looking forward to playing it. I love the Fable games and I had hoped that introducing the Fable 2 game engine to the original Fable game would have been a fantastic combo. Such a missed opportunity.
