Flappy bird creator, Dong Nguyen, has removed the program from the App Store. This makes him the first games programmer in history to successfully pull a bird.

HAHAHA REP++ :D

I think its all a stunt tbh, a week or so from now it will be back.

Oh, wow, that was terrible xD

It never left. The funny thing is the amount of people trying the same for their Android phones. Nothing stopping any Android users just installing it manually of course. Joys of not being locked into an Apple.

I'm on the fence; if he's genuinely being flooded with emails and harassed with phone calls then yeah, maybe it is legit. Plus I read an estimate he was pulling in $15k per day in advertising revenue! So perhaps he has made enough from it now and just wants to drop it and move on. I wouldn't do it, you can email and call me all you want for $15k a day, but who knows :)

According to the creator himself, he was making $52'000 on the opening week, and subsequently around $15'000-$20'000 in advertising alone per day since. Even pulling it from the market he is still making the money.

It is valued right now at a networth of over $2.7million, so no way will he sell it for $90k.

The estimate I saw was $50k per day - the equivalent of 20 years worth of wages every single day where he lives! :eek:

I reckon his government will definitely be wanting their share of the money.

I'm sorry but he is set for life after a weeks work or whatever it took to build that game. He could build a 200m wall around his house and never face the outside world again for that, and he is moaning it has ruined his life. The give the revenue rights to me and go away (Charlie Brooker voice)!
